Career Navigator – Workforce Development

About the Role

The Career Navigator is responsible for providing support that includes career assessments, detailed career planning, referrals to workforce training programs and providers, job retention services for working participants and participants in training, and case management. Case management activities include screenings for eligibility for government programs, troubleshooting and goal-setting activities, and making needed referrals to address participant barriers successfully.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required. 

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to program services and outcomes preferred.

  •  Minimum of 3 years of professional adult training experience (trainer, teacher, instructor, or educator). 

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with a diverse participant population. 

  • Experience in recruiting, assessing, enrolling, career coaching and placing participants strongly preferred. 

  • Background in retail branch banking preferred. 

  • Strong customer service orientation and results orientation.

  •  Demonstrated sales skills strongly preferred. 

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. 

  • Flexibility to work evening and weekends to meet program operations and needs. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data entry.
