Ullrich Cynthia has recently retired in the past few years from a long and fulfilling career with BMO Harris Bank. Beginning her career with BMO in June of 1984, she quickly began to make her way up the ladder tackling new positions and gaining skill. Finally, in May of 2016 she took up her final role in Commercial Banking Product. Not only did she find success in the business world, but Cynthia also valued education and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Why I Serve? As she enters her 14th year on the board, she continues to be inspired by the work that the House does to help people help themselves through a wide array of programs that can be wrapped around their participants.

High Unemployment Humboldt Park’s unemployment rate of 18% is double the national average. Barriers to Health Care 15% of residents do not have health insurance. Leadership Juan Carlos Linares, President & CEO Juan Carlos Linares is the President and CEO of Association House of Chicago, where he is inspired by the team’s dedication to serving the thousands of participants that rely on the House annually, and its 125-years of history in stabilizing the lives, households, and communities it serves. Born in the Humboldt Park community and raised in Bellwood, Juan Carlos is an attorney and has held leadership in nonprofit, government, and civic roles over his 22-year career, and is also a part-time educator. Julie Rodriguez, Executive Vice President Julie Rodriguez is the Executive Vice President, accountable to the President for the cycle of design, development, delivery, and improvement of programs. She executes a continuous quality improvement process through the program and service areas. Lillian Bui, Senior Director of Development and External Affairs Lillian Bui (she/her) proudly serves as the Development Director and brings 15 years of experience in non-profits. She sets the strategy for fundraising and marketing for the development team responsible for raising more than $2 million in private funds annually. Drop-In Center How We Help The Drop-in Center provides a safe and comfortable peer-led gathering place for adults in our mental health programs, and for those who are transitioning from life in a nursing facility to life in the community. This is a place free from stigma and judgment. Here, we build support and connection. What To Expect Group activities such as field trips to area attractions, walks in the park, family movie nights, and holiday celebrations. Opportunities for personal growth through life skills groups, peer leadership, and meditation. Drop-in access to the TV room, reading room, game room, arts, and computers. Program Hours Monday: 9am - 5pm Tuesday: 9am - 6pm Wednesday: 9am - 5pm Thursday: 9am - 7pm Friday: 9am - 5pm Saturday: Determined by Peer Council "We have participants who come to Drop-in Center every single day.
