What education or prior experiences do you have related to workforce development?
I hold a Masters Degree in Social Justice and Community Development from Loyola University Chicago. My trajectory in life has led me to work as a Community Outreach Coordinator and have organized numerous community events. This has allowed me to have a vast network in the faith-based community. Yes, I grew up in the church and have been helping all in need since childhood. My grandparents Bishop Tomas Lozada and Bishop Josefina Lozada instilled me the love of community from an early age.
What about your work inspires you?
The ability to continue my work as a Social Justice Practitioner and reach out to people from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds providing them both with resources and hope.
What's a fun fact about yourself?
I'm a phenomenal soprano and can reach operatic notes.
