Andrea Martinez Carbrera
Andrea earned her Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Latinx Mental Health from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She integrates cultural practices in therapy and is trained in Trauma-Informed Care, Play Therapy, Relational-Cultural, Attachment-based, Psychodynamic focused, and CBT.
As an immigrant herself, Andrea specializes in working with people experiencing issues with acculturation, migratory grief and loss, racial identity, and intergenerational trauma. She seeks to create a safe place for her clients to know that they are not alone in their journeys. In her free time, she hikes national parks with her two dogs and husband, reads books, and paints/draws.
