About the Role
Responsible for providing teaching and recreational activities within the house, always shows respect for individual resident’s cultural and religious heritage. Facilitates group activities with residents geared toward increasing competency in areas such as interpersonal communication, problem solving, self-care, hygiene, motor skills, cooking skills, etc. Documents shift activities and individual participant’s behavior and activities. Conducts routine duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
Schedule: Saturday 9 am to 3 pm, Sunday 9 am to 3 pm, and Monday, Tuesday OR Friday 2 to 6 pm.
High School diploma or GED equivalency required.
Minimum of 1 year of prior experience working with a DD population and/or other disabilities.
Bi-lingual Spanish preferred. Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, holidays, during emergencies and staff shortages.
