Residential Support Specialist – Dulcinea (Part-time, Saturday and Sunday, 2pm – 10pm)

About the Role

Responsible for providing rehabilitative stabilization services for adults with severe mental illness or dually diagnosed. Teaches in-vivo independent, social, and daily living skills taking into consideration the participant’s learning style, strengths and needs. Assists participants in the acquisition and practice of daily living skills. Monitors participants’ symptoms and medication utilization regularly. Maintains an organized, clean, and safe home environment. Provides crisis management services in consultation with program supervisor. Documents all services using program protocols. Provides a safe and quite overnight environment for participants and assists them in morning activities

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. 

  • Proficient computer/documentation skills required.

  •  Five years of experience in the mental health or substance abuse field. 

  • Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, holidays during emergencies or staff shortage.
