Work with the training facilitator to provide participants with additional attention and instruction utilizing select program curriculum on the operational fundamentals of a commercial kitchen. Provide additional coaching and mentoring to ensure program participants have the competence and confidence to present themselves as a qualified and committed candidates for entry level culinary industry positions. Follow up with participants after the graduation and job fair to provide coaching on acceptance of positions and career coaching as required.
High School Diploma required. Industry recognized credentials in culinary arts preferred.
Valid food handler’s license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the culinary and/or hospitality industry.
Experience in facilitating professional adult training (trainer, teacher, instructor, or educator).
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and have an interest in serving justice involved participant population.
Experience in recruiting, assessing, enrolling, career coaching and placing participants strongly preferred.
Flexibility to work evening and weekends to meet program operations and needs.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data entry.
Become a ServSafe Certified Instructor and Proctor within 60 days of employment.
