About the Role
Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Child Welfare Services, the Family and Resource Engagement Specialist is responsible for working with the Licensing/Foster Care Teams to strengthen our teams and enhance our resources. This role is a non-case carrying member of the team aimed at building relationships, supports, partnerships and strengths amongst youth, their identified caregivers and families for the expansion of familial/natural, informal and formal life-long supports, connections and resources.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in the Child Welfare Field preferred.
Minimum of 1-year direct service experience in the child welfare field.
Bilingual Spanish/English required.
Prior experience in a multi-ethnic setting preferred.
Must have daily use of a car, current vehicle insurance, valid driver’s license, and a driving record acceptable to Agency insurance carrier and DCFS.
Always carries cellular phone to respond to participant/program needs
