About the Role
Responsible for providing intake services to adults, adolescents, and children with moderate to severe mental illness or dually diagnosed. Conducts comprehensive mental health assessments to determine service needs and helps formulate treatment plans. Answers, greets, and directs phone inquiries/calls and walk-ins to the Counseling program. Provides an overview of program information to prospective participants. Interviews incoming participants or participant representatives to determine appropriateness for service. Obtains key demographic and insurance information and enters information required for admission. Assists program supervisor and counseling staff in obtaining intake documents, reviewing, and submitting participant registrations. Maintains confidentiality.
Requirements
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
Bilingual Spanish/English required.
One year of experience in the mental health field preferred.
Experience working with multi-ethnic populations preferred.
