As the city of Chicago enters phase four of the state reopening plan Association House provides the following updates to programming and building access for participants:

  • All participants that will enter Association House will be screened.
  • Masks are to be worn inside the building and social distancing guidelines posted throughout the building are to be followed.
  • Behavioral Health has resumed Visions programming groups with restrictions. The Drop-In Center is currently hosting outside activities with restrictions. For more information about Behavioral Health Services, please call (773) 772-8009.
  • Workforce Development is offering Work$Ready, a free, online, job readiness training for individuals who are seeking employment. For more information visit here.
  • Mental Health First Aid will resume providing virtual training workshops in July. Please check our Eventbrite calendar here.

Services temporarily postponed for Technology – Open Lab and Know Your Status – Walk-In Rapid Testing.

Association House High School students can go to any CPS school to receive boxed meals during the closure. AHHS is not providing any food service.

Updated March 17

We are closely monitoring developments related to the spread of the virus, and our priority remains the health and safety of our staff/families as well as the participants we serve.

In response, the current updates have been made to Association House’s services:

Association House High School, as all schools in Illinois, are now closed. Teachers and mentors will be working from home. A clerk and administrator will be on-site each day. School will be closed through March 31.

Life Skills Education is currently closed. The state has closed all day programs until April 15th.

Behavioral Health is operational. Staff will be able to work from home and provide counseling over the phone. Many staff and case managers, that are serving an extremely vulnerable population, will still be working in the field and doing home visits.

Child Welfare staff will be working from home for the next three days. Staff will still to do home visits and sibling visits. Courts will only be reviewing emergency cases and most courtrooms will be closed for 30 days.

Mental Health First Aid Training has been canceled for at least 30 days.

Financial Careers Training start date has been postponed.

Visions and other programs are operational. Participants are limited in capacity to 10 in order to provide a healthy space.

Association House Fundraising Events
The 2020 Faces of Hope Annual Benefit is postponed indefinitely.
The “Basketball & Brews” event scheduled for March 26 is canceled.
Our Team AHC charity runners will continue to train individually and raise funds in support of their personal goals and generosity to our cause.
