Positively Impact a Child's Life: Become a Foster Parent
Every child deserves the love and support of an adult to build a healthy and happy life. However, many children face abuse, neglect, or a family crisis that leaves them with nowhere to turn for help. During this time, foster care providers can help by offering a supportive home for children to live temporarily while their family works to create a safe environment for their child to return.
Association House is in need for more foster parents willing to open up their home to children who have no alternative place to go. These temporary placements change lives, save families, and invest in a child’s future. Consider enrolling as a foster parent today.
To become a foster parent in Association House's Child Welfare programs, you must meet the following requirements:
- Legal residency/citizenship of the United States
- Extra Bedroom in home
- Medical exams including a tuberculosis test for each person residing in home
- Fingerprinting and through background check for each person residing in home
- Income
- Completion of 27 hours of Foster Parent Training
- 3 reference letters
