- Bilingual Respite Worker (Part-time)
Provides relief on a short-term basis, minimally 4 hours, for primary caregivers in emergencies, or as scheduled in order to reduce the potential for crisis and/or the likelihood of placement in a more intensive setting. Respite services are provided primarily in family or foster homes. Must have completed at least eight years of grade school, and be able to demonstrate 8th grade literacy in language and reading. One to three years experience with developmentally disabled individuals is required. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a driving record acceptable to the Agency insurance carrier are required in order to transport participants. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Must complete and pass all agency-required test and/or trainings.
- Child Care Worker I – La Casita (On-Call, and Part time (Sun-Tues: 11pm-9am or Thurs-Sat: 11pm-9am) shifts available)
Responsible for the management of a living environment which fosters the participants learning of new behaviors and independent living skills. Ensures a safe, orderly and consistent routine and implements service plans for youth under the supervision of the program manager. Ensures that youth follow regular daily procedures, including bedtime, wake-up, meals, study hour, chores and personal care. Shifts are subject to change to meet program needs. Minimum of 2 years of college. Direct service experience with adolescents, preferably in a residential setting. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Daily use of a car is preferred.
- Substance Abuse Counselor II
Provides substance abuse assessment, treatment planning, and counseling services following program standards. Implements intensive outreach strategies to maintain participants engage in treatment and to support their recovery. Provides crisis intervention services in consultation with program supervisor and attending psychiatrist. Links participants to needed support services in the community. Documents services following program standards. High School Diploma, or G.E.D. required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences preferred. Experience preferred. CADC certification required. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Licensed driver with use of a car, current insurance, a valid driver’s license, and a driving record acceptable to Agency insurance carrier. Must pass background check. Complete an annual TB test and forward the results to the supervisor for the personnel file. Ability to work flexible hours.
- Certified Classroom Teacher
El Cuarto Año High School is seeking teachers for the school year. Successful canditates will be able to provide basic instruction in core subject areas. Illinois Type 09 Certificate with an endorsement in Math, Science, or English required. Ability and desire to teach other core classes and/or electives. Willingness to participate in mentoring activities with students. High level of dedication in meeting individual needs of students. Ability to work well with a collaborative staff. - Bilingual Data Entry / Receptionist - Behavioral Health
Supports the functioning of the programs through performance of clerical tasks. Maintains paper files and computer files, and checks that documentation is complete and accurate. Collaborates with other clerical staff to ensure coverage of phones and reception tasks at all times. Maintains the confidentiality of staff and clients in all interactions with callers or visitors. Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing as assigned. High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience within an office setting. Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
- Engineer - Facilities
Under supervision, assures the safe and efficient operation of the entire physical plant, which includes all building and grounds. Performs routine preventive maintenance duties, repairs equipment as needed, and monitors all environmental services necessary to run the building on a constant basis. Documents all inspections and repairs as required. AA or the equivalent engineering training/HVAC certificate of training or related skills training. Minimum of 3 years in related field. Must be a minimum of 21 years old. Must be able to work flexible hours, and be available on-call for emergencies. Must have current driver’s license. Must pass background check.
- Bilingual Coordinator - Arts Program (30 hours/week, eligible for benefits)
Plans and administers arts and arts-related activities. Ensures coordination of efforts and collaboration that focuses on maintaining high standards, the empowerment of individual artists and groups, and providing a base of community economic development and pride. Bachelor’s Degree arts education/administration or a relevant discipline. 2 - 3 years experience in arts programming or related experience preferred. Demonstrable experience in coordination and knowledge of resources in local Chicago area and national and international arts. Experience in project management and management of employees preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English required. Flexibility in work schedule for evening/weekend programming.
- Bilingual Residential Supervisor – Dulcinea
Ensures high quality services to residents. Coordinates staff programming and referral process. Coordinates services and reviews documentation. Ensures that the residence and the services provided are in compliance with Agency, funder and accreditation standards. Associate degree in Human Services field. Bachelors degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience with mentally ill and/or substance abusing individuals. Prior experience working with multi-ethnic populations. Certificate in Psycho-Social Rehabilitation preferred. Residential experience preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English required. Must have daily use of a car, a valid driver’s license, and a driving record acceptable to Agency insurance carrier.
- Chief Financial Officer
Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of key management functions of the non-profit social service agency with a 10 million dollar budget in the areas of Finance. Develops and manages systems to ensure accurate and timely financial and programmatic reporting, and the coordination of resources to ensure efficient and high quality delivery of services. Designs and implements effective financial systems that support the delivery and evaluation of services in conformance with agency policy and goals, contract requirements and agency and accreditation standards. Ensures proactive management of the accounting department. MBA and/or CPA required. A minimum of 5 years experience in related field. A thorough knowledge of the major financial functions of non-profit organizations. Ability to analyze financial statements systematically for compliance with funding requirements or patterns of problems in order to anticipate planning needs. Ability to maintain a high level of motivation and performance related to financial oversight and the measurement of budgetary outcomes for the agency. Sensitivity to the service population’s culture and socioeconomic characteristics. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
