Volunteer Opportunities

The gift of your time is priceless to Association House and the families we serve.  There are many opportunities to utilize your skills and become involved in the many programs at Association House that serve a diverse and multi-generational community.


Program Volunteer Opportunities:


Adult Education:  English GED, Literacy, or Citizenship Tutor

Monday-Friday, Mornings, Afternoons, and Evenings

Saturday Mornings

Support adult students as they continue their education in the classroom environment to prepare for the GED examination, improve their literacy skills, or prepare for U.S. Citizenship. 


Adult Education: Spanish GED or Literacy Tutor

Monday-Friday, Mornings, Afternoons, and Evenings

Assist with proficiency of the Spanish language through teaching courses in literacy and GED to the community.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred


Out of School Time Programs: Tutor or Assistant

Monday-Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Provide one-on-one tutoring and homework help for children and teens

Assist with other educational and recreational activities


One-Time Volunteer Opportunities:


Special Event Assistant

Help us make our special events a success!  Take part in organizing our various fundraising and program events and celebrations, or join us at these events to help with set-up and clean-up, greeting, registration, and refreshments.  Special events are held at various times throughout the year.


Holiday Provisions

November through December each year

Spread holidays cheer to Association House participants by organizing your own food, toy or clothing drive. Help is also needed for gift sorting.
