Research & Communications Specialist (Part-time): Responsible for effective research, writing and request submission for corporation, individual, foundation and church requests. These activities are to be conducted in coordination with the Chief Development Officer and the Development Director to ensure high quality and timeliness. BA required in related field. Demonstrable writing ability. 3 years experience in writing, editing, communications fields or equivalent. Prior experience in development setting preferred. Prior relationship with donors that are relevant to Association House’s Mission preferred. Must have access or use of reliable transportation, current insurance and valid driver’s license. Bilingual Coordinator – FamilyNet Center: Coordinate all activities of the FamilyNet Center, a community hub of technology resources, including technology training skills, access to a range of skill development through technology, and assistance with job searches, career exploration and planning, and resumes. High school diploma/GED required with additional training or certification. Bachelors degree in a related field preferred. Two years of related past experience in teaching and/or technology preferred. Experience working in a service environment. Experience with ETO or similar data tracking and evaluation programs preferred. Knowledge of various career/vocational paths and training programs preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish.
Bilingual Trainer – Healthy Lifestyles: Assists in the implementation of health and nutrition projects. Performs nutrition workshops in agency’s various in-house programs and helps evaluate curriculum. As a health and nutrition trainer, conducts research on nutrition topics to expand nutrition curriculum and performs needed administrative duties. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience working with a diverse population in a social service setting required. Training experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Bilingual Continuity of Care Coordinator – Behavioral Health: Provides therapy and case management services for adults with a severe mental illness or dual diagnosis; conducts comprehensive mental health and substance abuse assessments to determine service needs; formulates treatment plans and implements intervention strategies; monitors and reviews treatment plans regularly; monitors participants’ symptoms and medication regularly; assists families in developing crisis management plans; provides crisis intervention services in consultation with the program supervisor and attending psychiatrist; develops and establishes intensive outreach strategies to engage participants in services; monitors the delivery of mental health and MISA services and ensures continuous quality improvement in relation to program goals and standards; coordinates and ensures appropriate crisis management services; provides clinical supervision of staff in mental health programs; monitors program staffs’ performance and the quality and documentation of their services. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, human services or a related field. Three years of experience in the mental health and/or substance abuse field. Experience working with persons with severe mental illness and substance abuse. LCPC/LCSW/LMFT required. Bilingual Spanish/English required. Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, holidays during emergencies.
Counselor - PSR (Part-time): Provides individual and group psychosocial rehabilitative services for adults with severe mental illness using the principles of the Psycho- Social Rehabilitative (PSR) Program in order to help them reduce or ameliorate symptoms and to improve independent living skills. Uses intensive outreach services to engage participants in services. Conducts assessments to determine level of functioning and service needs. Formulates treatment plans with relevant, concrete, and realistic goals in collaboration with the participants, their support systems, program supervisor and other service providers. Monitors treatment progress regularly and reviews treatment plans as needed. Supports participants and their families in accessing needed services. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work or related field, or 5 years of experience in mental health and/or substance abuse field in lieu of education. Bilingual Spanish/English required. Five years of experience in the mental health field or substance abuse for non-bachelor degree candidates. Experience working with multiethnic populations. Must have daily use of a car, current insurance, valid driver’s license, and a driving record acceptable to Agency insurance carrier. Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, holidays during emergencies, when assigned to rotating emergency cellular.
Bilingual Counselor III/Family Resource Developer – Reaching Out to Help (ROTH): Responsible for providing case management, advocacy, and role modeling services to children and families at all levels of the ROTH continuum, including at the universal, targeted, and intensive tiers. Provides consultation services and educational workshops using an empathetic, supportive, creative, and educational context to parents, teachers, school personnel, and members of the community. Serves as a role model and leader in developing resources, and enhancing resilience in community families. Focuses efforts in targeting the needs of children and their families in a holistic context, taking into consideration their physical, emotional, social, academic, and behavioral needs. Bachelors degree in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, public health, or related field. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Experience working with a multi-ethnic population preferred. Experience with facilitating workshops and actively participating in community events preferred. Experience working with children with special needs, including mental health needs preferred. Daily use of car, current insurance, valid drivers license, and a driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier. Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, holidays during emergencies.
Psychiatrist (Contractual Part-time): Responsible for clinical oversight of mental health and substance abuse services. Responsible for medication management, monitoring, training and administration for participants in the Behavioral Health Division. Ensures that documentation and billing requirements are completed in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. Board-certified Psychiatrist. At least two years of experience in Psychiatry. Licensed Physician and Surgeon in the State of Illinois. Flexible schedule. Use of car and valid Illinois Drivers License. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Uses intensive outreach strategies to engage participants in services. Conducts comprehensive mental health and substance abuse assessments to determine service needs. Formulates treatment plans and implements intervention strategies. Monitors and reviews treatment plans regularly. Monitors participants’ symptoms and medication regularly. Assists participants and families in developing crisis management plans. Provides crisis intervention services in consultation with program supervisor and attending psychiatrist. Coordinates and links participants with needed services and community resources. Documents all services using program protocols.
