Matching Gifts
Many companies match an employee’s donation to charitable organizations. Ask your employer if there is a matching gifts program at your workplace. You may be able to increase your contribution to Association House with a matching gift.
Gifts of Stock Transfer
Gifts of stock are easily transferred. For more information please contact Tom Slivosky at RBC Wealth Management at 312-559-1716 and ask about account #312-00413, DTC#0235.
Special Giving Opportunity for 2009
If you are 70½ or older, the requirement that you take out a minimum of distribution from your retirement account (IRA, 401(k), or 403(b) has been waived for 2009. Minimum distributions will be required again in 2010. You still have the opportunity to make a tax-free gift up to $100,000 to Association House directly from your IRA Account until Dec. 31, 2009.
Bequests
A bequest is a gift made by naming Association House as a beneficiary in your will. This is both a simple and popular method for remembering Association House in perpetuity. Bequests are recognized through membership in the Ellen Holt Legacy Fund.
In-Kind Donations
In-kind gifts are also very important to program operations. Donations of gently used every day clothes, work clothes, and household items can help a family in crisis. Donations of baby clothes, car seats, and diapers will provide much needed supplies for our foster families. Non-perishable food items are always needed in the Food Pantry. Art and educational supplies will be put to good use in our educational programs. And new toys will help provide a holiday gift to a disadvantaged child or teen. Volunteer
The gift of your time is priceless to Association House and the families we serve. There are many opportunities to utilize your skills and become involved in the many programs at Association House that serve a diverse and multi-generational community.
